Rebecca Hatfield

Rebecca is currently the Chief Strategy and Growth Officer at Hancock Lumber, having previously served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Avesta Housing. Prior to Avesta, she was a Senior Vice President at Citigroup, working in various roles within the commercial and corporate banks. She has over 15 years of experience in finance, with a focus on deal structuring, underwriting, risk analysis, and portfolio management, and has extensive experience completing real estate transactions. Rebecca’s previous employment also includes experience as a software and network management engineer.

Rebecca was named a Mainer of the Year in 2022 by Maine Magazine and a Woman to Watch in 2021 by Mainebiz magazine, and she is actively involved in the community. Rebecca serves on the boards of The Genesis Fund, the Gulf of Maine Research Institute, Camden National Corporation and Camden National Bank. Previously, she served on the boards of the Maine Council on Aging and the Maine Real Estate and Development Association (MEREDA) and was a corporator for Androscoggin Bank. Rebecca earned a B.S. in Computer and Information Science from University of Maryland and an M.B.A from University of California Los Angeles, Anderson School of Management.
