Since 2023, the John T. Gorman Foundation has taken an intensive focus on ensuring that all Maine children are resilient and ready to succeed. To achieve this goal, the Foundation has directed a growing share of its resources and assistance to support partners in developing and implementing two-generation (2Gen) strategies that work with children and their caregivers simultaneously, strengthening the well-being of whole families. The intention of this work is not only to improve outcomes for children and families served directly, but to find strategies and insights that can strengthen systems on a broader level.
