Best practices for remote service delivery for older youth

The Urban Institute recently published a resource guide on best practices for providing remote social services to youth ages 16-24. The successful strategies highlighted are derived from interviews with 21 youth-serving organizations conducted since the pandemic began. The report emphasizes the importance of first meeting basic needs—from access to technology for remote engagement to needs such as food or housing—to create a foundation for successful remote service delivery. Other key issues addressed in the guide include strengthening organizational and staff capacity, supporting older youth mental health, building virtual community, and ensuring instruction is engaging. #education #foodsecurity #housing #mentalhealth
